Sounds easier said than done. You don’t need to look very far around and the acuteness of the problems that surround us are overwhelming – The environment is treated like an infinite resource, people treated as commodities with little self-worth and right to freedom. Poverty is rampant and inequality across the world is creating a generation of young people who are more like a legion of the dispossessed that winsome agents of change for the future.

In the 20th and 21st centuries, our world has grappled with a few major economic and social models. Essentially the 20th century still had remnants of feudalism and monarchy where many toiled for the riches and comforts of an elite and privileged few who were accorded their status through birthright.

Next swept along socialism where ownership was shifted to the hands of labor. Although debatable, the results from that experiment hardly led to a harmonious society. Millions died leading up to the establishment of socialism and millions more due to its repression and lack of access to the basics.

Ideological standpoints and the political labels associated

After World War II came the sweeping idea of capitalism where ownership is accorded to those with wealth and material resources. After the darkness of the war, this system caught on as reformist and liberal and a lot of people started getting richer and progress made both economically, socially and politically. Seemed like the answer to our 100,000 year human journey had been ostensibly reached.

Let a handful of people with the big money call the shots and we’ll all be better off and saved from destitution and conflict. Never mind the gaping inequality that the success of a capitalist system was causing in the countries that did not embrace it. In time, we can figure out a solution to that too once they gave in and adopted our system. Our biggest enemy became those who criticized or resisted adoption to this boundless capitalist system of opportunity and progress.

If the last few years have been a testament to anything, it is to the fact that any system can go out of control. The result is that capitalism grows more powerful and dominant. And permeate and buys the influence of the very civic institutions in place to protect the common rights of people and collectively prevent abuse.

It was pure fascism taking place as Mussolini had first coined it, a union between state and corporate entities, which by definition have opposing values. A state has the interests of the people it represents and needs to cooperate to assure its survival. A corporation represents the interests of a vested few. Competition is to be crushed if survival is to be assured. Mix these together and disaster won’t be far off as the US and other countries have experienced and are still reeling from.

Clik here to view. What if there was a third way? Instead of just ascribing ownership to labor or those with capital, we give ownership based on ideas. Perhaps you can think of it as “Ideaism” as a our good friend first baptized it.

Those who contribute ideas are those who necessitate the need for capital and the use of labor to materialize a product or service. The emphasis goes to those who create ideas, are inspired and educate themselves to find new ways of doing and getting things done. Value is shifted to those who create and enrich the lives of others.

In a sense, we already revere and respect the Einsteins, Edisons and Newtons of the world. These people make our way of life better and more productive . They laid a foundation for all those folks who contributed value to their ideas before and after them. Why else would people put flowers outside of Apple stores when a visionary Steve Jobs passed away?

Well, that’s where the cows come in. We like to think that a hybrid system is possible and that a shift back to empowering people across the broadest spectrum of society is possible. Our company, TechMoola.com, brings together capitalism and ideaism to create a a powerful force in business.

As we have all personally experienced, the Internet is changing and shaping businesses. It gives people access to broad audiences to voice their opinions freely. It empowers people to demand fulfillment of their needs without the corporate mechanism dictating their needs. TechMoola.com is about empowering the anyone to make it big through direct support from the public.

Whether you call it crowdfunding or crowdsourcing, it works through a broad network of people. This network contributes a pool of money to support efforts of other people or companies with no equity stake or payback necessary. If people believe in something and they want to see it out there, they will contribute funds to be part of the process. They get a small reward in return for their contribution.

Crowdfunding is a new way of doing business through community-based democracy. Everyone from rich investors to ordinary folks can influence and directly support ideas they want to see on the commercial market. Through the power of numbers, a large community of people can give small donations. This process can raise the capital necessary for a technological invention to advance and move to the next level.

TechMoola was founded by two guys, myself and Tom. We have a great invention to transform society.
